Creative Summer Holiday Programme

Tuesday to Friday, 30th July - 16th August

Drop-off days for children aged 6-11 throughout the summer holidays, providing a choice of creative activities led by professional creatives.

Book daily, there is no requirement to attend all sessions week.
Spaces are limited, only 20 places available per day. These sessions
must be booked before the day.


Drop off 9.30-10am. Activities from 10am-4pm. Pick up 4pm-4.30pm.

Vegetarian lunch and snacks included in the price.

Be Not Afeard

Saturday 27th July, 11am & 2pm

by Collar & Cuffs Theatre 

Part of Bristol Shakespeare Festival

Performances at 11am and 2pm

On site community cafe open 10am-4pm


Multi-award winning theatre company Collar and Cuffs are delighted to be bringing  their immersive, sensory, and inclusive version of 'The Tempest' to Creative Workspace as part of Bristol Shakespeare Festival.


This show is suitable for 0-7s, is fully accessible for SEN and performances are relaxed.

'Be not afeard. The isle is full of noises, sounds, and sweet airs that give delight and hurt not'

How do we help children grow the skills to be confidently curious about their world at a time when anxiety and overwhelm affect so many? How do we help them become better able to cope with the unexpected?

Explore this challenge with a twangling, painty, touchy, feely, smelly, and magical adventure delivered with Collar & Cuffs signature warmth.

Hot Air Balloon Day

Saturday 4th August

11am-3pm

led by Colourful Minds & Happymess


Activities available 11am-3pm

On site community cafe also open


Create beautiful balloon-themed art including stained glass effect pictures for your windows. Sew simple felt balloon toys and make an eye-catching skyscape collage!


Led by Colourful Minds and Happymess.


Hot drinks, snacks, home-made cake and lunches including plenty of child-friendly options will be available in our in-house community cafe The Cog Cafe.


£2.50 per child in advance or £3 on the door.


Please note you can only purchase tickets on the door if there are still spaces available. We cannot guarantee there will be tickets available on the door and strongly advise you to book in advance.

Family Festival Fun Day

Saturday 10th August

11am-3pm

Featuring Uke Life Project

Activities available 11am-3pm

On site community cafe also open  


A day of festival-themed activities including face-painting, no-sew festival costumes and crafts, live music and a family ukulele workshop!


Suitable for ALL ages.


Face-painting 11am-1pm by Lena Balloons. Music and ukulele workshop by Uke Lift Project in the afternoon, Crafting and costume making available all day by Brave Bold Drama.


£2.50 per child in advance. £3 per child on the door. Advance booking is recommended as we cannot guarantee there will be spaces available on the door.

Inventions Day

Saturday 17th August

11am-3pm

by Brave Bold Drama

Activities available 11am-3pm

On site community cafe also open  


"To invent you need a good imagination and a pile of junk."   Edison, inventor of the lightbulb.

Have your own lightbulb moment as you create brand new inventions modelled entirely from junk!

Suitable for ALL ages. Facilitated by award-winning theatre and community arts company Brave Bold Drama.

Subsidised Admissions


We understand that sometimes it can be difficult to afford admission fees. The company directors are happy to receiving applications for subsidised  admission to any of our events.
